The channel, which has held the rights to show the tennis Grand Slam tournament since 2012, will continue its coverage to 2018.
ITV will continue to broadcast comprehensive coverage each year, with a guaranteed minimum of 90 hours devoted to each tournament across its main channel and ITV4. The action will also be available on the ITV hub.
The list of participants in the men’s and women’s singles tournaments at Roland-Garros 2018, which will be played from Sunday 27th May to Sunday 10th June, has now been revealed.
In the women’s singles, six of the 108 players entered directly into the draw have a protected ranking. The rest of the 128 places in the women’s singles draw will be filled by 12 qualifiers and 8 wildcards. In the men’s singles, three players benefit from a protected ranking: Andreas Haider-Maurer (AUT), Yoshihito Nishioka (JPN) and Steve Darcis (BEL).
