Liberty Shield

Live Sport Streaming – 22 and 23 May 2021 with Liberty Shield VPN

Hello, hello, hello and welcome to your Liberty Shields Live Sports blog for this upcoming weekend. Need a Live Sport Streaming VPN?

The good weather has abandoned us here in Ireland but at least fans are back attending sporting events across the UK. Burnley fans were allowed boo from the stands rather than their own homes on Wednesday and wasn’t it a joy to witness. Fun Fact: Live Sport Streaming is one of the most searched terms on Google!

Our Live Sport VPN articles are brought to you in partnership with EPL Index, and Dave Hendrick – host of the Two Footed Podcast, offering FREE podcasts to football fans.

Anyway, it’s the weekend again so as usual we’ve put together a somewhat exhaustive list of the best live sport available to you over the next few days so let’s just jump straight in.

It’s the final weekend of the Premier League season and there’s a full round of games. The only games with anything really meaningful on the line involve the teams competing for third and fourth, we’ve previewed those games right here.

It’s also the final weekend for the other top five European leagues and since there are big games, with titles on the line, across the board we’ve gone ahead and previewed them separately for you. You can read that right here.

🖥️ Live BBC, ITV, BT Sport & Premier Sport Streaming

There aren’t many Rugby matches worth your time this weekend but what is on, is absolutely must watch. Starting Friday with the European Challenge Cup Final as Leicester take on Montpellier at Twickenham in an 8pm kickoff. Montpellier won the competition in 2016, defeating Harlequins in the final and would love to become two time Champions. Leicester have great European pedigree, having claimed the old European Cup in 2001 and 2002 as well as losing in three more finals in 1997, 2007 and 2009. They would love to end their silverware drought and take the cup home to the Midlands.

The Heineken Champions Cup, formerly the European Cup, has it’s final on Saturday afternoon, with a 4.45pm kickoff set for Toulouse vs La Rochelle at Twickenham. La Rochelle have never won a major honour and have only recently become a force in the continental game, they would love nothing more than to defeat their Top 14 rivals on the very biggest stage. Toulouse are four time winners of the competition, but it’s been 11 years since they last claimed glory. Winners in 1996, 2003, 2005 and 2010, Toulouse are European Royalty tied with the most wins in competition history with Leinster. A win on Saturday would put them out on their own.

Before the Champions Cup final you can get yourself in the mood by enjoying two Pro14 matches from South Africa as the Sharks take on the Stormers in a noon kickoff, before the Lions face the Bulls at 2.30pm.

There’s plenty of MMA action this weekend with both Bellator and the UFC hosting events.

Tonight it’s Bellator 259: Cyborg vs Smith 2 as Cris Cyborg defends her Featherweight title against Leslie Smith in a rematch of their UFC 198 clash back in May of 2016. Cyborg, 23-2, won that fight by KOing Smith, 12-8-1, in the first round. Cyborg would go on to win the UFC Featherweight title before losing it in her third defense via a KO to Amanda Nunes. Nunes is widely seen as the GOAT of women’s MMA but Cyborg is a close second and is the most successful women’s fighter of all time having held titles in Strikeforce, Invicta, the UFC and now Bellator. She will go into this fight as a heavy favourite.

UFC Fight Night: Font vs. Garbrandt will be headlined by former UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt taking on Rob Font at the UFC Apex facility. Garbrandt lost his title to bitter rival TJ Dillashaw in late 2017, the first defeat of his career, and his career went on a slide as he lost again to Dillashaw and then to Pedro Munhoz. He did bounce back last time out with a KO win over Raphael Assuncao but knows he will need to string together a couple more wins to get himself back into title contention. Font will prove a tough opponent, having gone 7-3 in his 10 UFC fights to move his career record to 18-4. He was also defeated by Munhoz, and lost his fight with Assuncao as well but comes into this fight on a three fight winning streak, which includes a win over Sergio Pettis who has since left the UFC, signed with Bellator and won the Bamtamweight title. Both fighters have a previous to stand and trade so this should prove to be a very exciting fight.

There is a huge fight this weekend as WBO and WBC Light-Welterweight Champion Jose Carlos Ramirez takes on IBF, WBA and Ring Magazine Light-Welterweight Champion Josh Taylor in a winners takes all unification fight to crown the undisputed King of the 140lb division. Ramirez, 26-0, didn’t impress in his last fight, eeking out a Majority Decision over Viktor Postol. Taylor, the fighting pride of Scotland, comfortably outpointing Postol back in 2018 and will go into this fight confident that he can take home all the belts. Taylor’s last fight saw him destroy Apinun Khongsung in a first round KO back in September but he will need to be at his very best to defeat Ramirez in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Both men had solid amateur careers and both represented their countries at the 2012 London Olympics, and a fight between them has long been anticipated. This should be must watch TV.

🏏 Live Cricket Streaming VPN
🖥️ Sky Sports Cricket Live Streaming & Catchup

I don’t say this lightly, but if your choice of watching this weekend involves the mini-tournament of T20 games between Austria, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic then I think you should speak to your family and ask for help with your Cricket addiction!

There is a One Day International between Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka on Sunday which begins a three match series that will also see games played on Tuesday and Friday. Watching it would be more acceptable than Austria vs Luxembourg.

🏌️‍♂️ Live Golf Streaming VPN
🖥️ Sky Sports Golf Live Streaming & Catchup

The second major of the year is underway at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina in the form of the 2021 PGA Championship. With almost $2mil available to the winner, and $1mil for the runner-up it’s one of the most lucrative weekend’s work anyone is likely to find. This historic competition has taken place 102 previous times, seeing 20 multi-time winners, lead by Jack Nicklaus and Walter Hagan on five each, one ahead of Tiger Woods who won four during his dominant 2000s run. Brooks Koepka was the most recent of the 5 men who have won the competition in back years when he became the most recent person to win the tournament multiple times. He failed to succeed in his bid for a historic three in a row last year, falling 10 shots behind eventual winner Colin Morikawa. Morikawa was a surprise winner, having never previously come close to even competing in a major tournament. The action began on Thursday and will build to a Sunday finale. If you’re a Golf fan, this is a weekend for you.

🏀 Live NBA Basketball Streaming VPN
🖥️ Watch BT Sport Live

The playoffs are here and the real business of the NBA is set to get underway. The Play-in tournament proved a big success with the LA Lakers game against the Golden State Warriors drawing huge numbers. The Lakers advanced, but the Warriors will have another chance to play there way in when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies tonight to earn the number 8 seed and a showdown with the Utah Jazz.

Every game is worth watching from here on so the full schedule for the weekend looks like this:

No matter what you’re sporting preferences are, there should be something on for you this weekend. Settle into your favourite armchair, switch on your Liberty Shield VPN and enjoy the action while keeping your data safe.
